How to Create Variation Listings with TCG Automate

Variation listings let you group multiple similar items (like different cards from the same set, or different cards with the same rarity) under a single eBay listing, each with its own photo, quantity, and price.
This keeps your store clean and makes it easier for buyers to choose exactly what they want and easily order multiple cards at a time.

Creating these manually on eBay is time-consuming. With TCG Automate, you can generate a perfect variation CSV file in seconds.

Step 1: Create a Batch

1. Go to your dashboard on TCG Automate.
2. Select the cards you want to group into a variation listing.

   Example: all cards from the SM - Cosmic Eclipse set. Example: all VMAX cards

3. Click Create Batch.

Step 2: Generate the Variation CSV

1. Inside your batch, click the Download Variation CSV button.
2. This generates a fully formatted eBay File Exchange CSV with:
   • Parent row containing all common listing details.
   • Child rows for each variation, linked by name.
   • Each variation automatically linked to its specific images.

Step 3: Upload to eBay

1. Go to your eBay Seller Hub > Reports > File Exchange.
2. Upload the CSV you downloaded from TCG Automate.
3. eBay will process the file and create your variation listing automatically.
